Trinity Lutheran School
Since the congregation was founded in 1890, Christian Education has been a priority. The present school can trace its roots back to 1944 when Trinity established a Lutheran Elementary School. Trinity Lutheran School presently operates programs for Preschool through the eighth grade. Trinity Lutheran School exists to assist parents in making life-long disciples of Christ. To this end they encourage the growth of all the children spiritually, academically, socially and physically.
Trinity Lutheran School is staffed with loving, caring and experienced teachers who hold at least a bachelor's degree in education. Their teachers are also committed to continuing their own education through workshops, in-service programs and summer courses.
God's Word is taught not only as an added subject area, but as a way of life which permeates the entire curriculum. In order to make this a part of every child's life, they will learn Bible lessons, specific Bible verses, the chief parts of Christian doctrine and hymns. Their academic courses are similar to those taught in the public schools and required by state law. They include mathematics, science, social studies, geography, state history, current events, reading, writing, literature, spelling, physical education, music, art and computer usage.
Trinity belongs to the Minnesota Lutheran Grade School League and offers a variety of sports experiences which currently includes volleyball, basketball, cheerleading, track and softball. Students are also encouraged to participate in other extra-curricular activities like Junior Choir, drama, forensics, art fair, math meets, spelling bees, science fairs and social studies fairs.
Trinity Lutheran Church is a member congretation of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. Members of Trinity and her sister congregations are encouraged to send their children to Trinity. They also welcome students from families without a church home and those who are members of other church bodies. Families are assessed a yearly materials fee which is set annually by the congregation. Trinity does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, nationality or ethnic origin and admits all students to the privileges, programs and activities made available at school.
