Smalltown Eclectic & MELSA present Loud at the Library! Fall Festival
A special Fall Festival event to kick off the 2018/2019 Loud at the Library series! We are planning to be outside for the event if the weather cooperates. Scott County Library and Smalltown Eclectic present, Loud! at the Library Fall Fest Kickoff. Join us for a special artist guest, "Pedal to the Metal". With the assistance of professional staff participants can expect to make their own small scale sculptures to be poured with molten metal before their eyes. Sculptures can be taken home just minutes after being made. There will also be pumpkin painting, a bonfire, snacks and acoustic musical performances. This project was funded in part with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage (Legacy) Fund.

Tables provided. Artwork can be propped against walls and book shelves. Bring your own easels for larger displays.
Interested in performing? Arrive at 6pm to sign-up. Keyboard available. Professional sound system. This project is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund.
Early Literacy Classes September 14th – December 14th , every Friday from 10:30-11: Children of all ages and their parents/caregivers are welcome at our FREE and FUN story-and play-based early literacy classes that use the five pre-reading practices of "Talking, Singing, Reading, Writing, & Playing."

Engage your child's natural curiosity at the library with exciting pop-in events featuring preschool-friendly Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math activities! Rotate between self-directed activity stations for playful learning with STEM toys, tools, books, and at-home learning suggestions. Best for ages 3-6 and a parent or caregiver.
