The Belle Plaine Police Department strives to provide services with integrity and professionalism, to protect citizens through enforcement of the law and to work in partnership with the community to enhance the quality of life in the City of Belle Plaine.The schools of Belle Plaine are proud to be part of the D.A.R.E. Community, providing Drug Awareness and Resistance Education to the elementary students (www.dare.com). Belle Plaine, also, offers the G.R.E.A.T. program, which is Gang Resistance Education and Awareness Training, to the junior high school students.The Department is proud of its community involvement and high level of service and is committed to continued efforts to keep Belle Plaine a safe place to live, work and play.

Dog Licenses

Dogs over six months of age must be licensed in Belle Plaine. Licensed dogs are to wear the license tag number on their collars. Any dog found in the city without a license and running at large can be impounded. For more information, check with the Police Department.
