The City holds biennial elections the first Tuesday after the first Monday in the month of November, in each even-numbered year.
No person shall be permitted to vote in any election in the City, unless he/she is registered as provided by Minnesota law. Voter registration cards are available at the Government Center, 218 North Meridian Street, Belle Plaine, MN.

ELECTION 2008
The next municipal election will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2008. The filing for the Mayor and Council candidacy opens on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 and closes on Tuesday, July 15, 2008.
The current office terms of Mayor Tom Meger and Councilmembers Tim Lies and Peter Anderly expire on December 31, 2008.
