 The City of Belle Plaine issues licenses in the following categories. Please call the Government Center at 952-873-5553 to obtain an application.
Burning Permit
An open burn permit is required for all burning in the Belle Plaine Fire Department District. Permits are $25.00 per location. Each permit is good for 30 days from the date of issuance. This permit is issued over the counter only. No open burning is allowed within the Belle Plaine city limits.
Charitable Gambling
Licenses must be obtained to conduct charitable gambling activities.
Excavation - Landfill Permit
Required prior to activiites related to the excavation of land and landfill.
Large Assembly Permit
Required for public events involving over 250 persons.
Liquor, Beer and Wine
Contact the City Administrative Office for application.

Massage Establishment
License required for massage therapist and massage establishments.
Outdoor Vending
License required for outdoor vending machines.
Pawnbrokers
License required for pawnbrokers.
Peddlers/Vendors
Permit required for persons going door-to-door selling products or services and vending of food to the public.
Precious Metal
License required for precious metals dealers.
Refuse Hauler
License required for all residential refuse haulers. Commercial districts are exempt.
Right-of-Way Permit and Damage Deposit
Required for excavation within the street right-of-way.
Road Closure
Permits are required for road closure for block parties and public events.
Tattoo Establishment
Required for tattoo establishments.
Tobacco Products
Businesses selling tobacco products must obtain a tobacco license.
