OPEN BURNING PERMITS

The City of Belle Plaine issues Open Burning Permits for Townships surrounding the City of Belle Plaine where the Belle Plaine Fire Department has jurisdiction.

Belle Plaine Fire Dept. Jurisdiction: 
Belle Plaine, Blakley, Faxon and St. Lawrence.
 
Open Burning Permits are issued at the Belle Plaine City Hall.  Permits are issued when burning conditions are favorable and restrictions or bans are not in effect. The price is $25 and the permit is good for thirty days from the date issued. The permit is faxed to Scott County Dispatch and to the Belle Plaine Fire Chief. A call does need to be made to the Scott Count Dispatch when burning is to begin at 952-445-1411.
